At the Challenger Club, we are thrilled to launch our very first scholarship program this year, and we warmly invite you to be part of this exciting new opportunity! Our scholarship places special emphasis on the meaningful time you invest volunteering with our athletes — because we believe the hours you dedicate to coaching, mentoring, and cheering alongside people with special needs truly shape exceptional leaders. Many volunteers discover that showing up consistently builds deeper empathy, greater patience, and the kind of confident, compassionate leadership that lasts a lifetime. We’ve seen volunteers grow from hesitant helpers into confident mentors who celebrate every small victory alongside athletes.

The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a high school senior who has demonstrated leadership through volunteering at the Cape Cod Challenger Club.

This scholarship is named in honor of Kelvin Ing & Amy Lipkind to acknowledge their foundational leadership in creating the Challenger Club and to their dedication in building inclusive opportunities for everyone.
